Mr. D. Vijayabhaskar Reddy

Mr. D. Vijayabhaskar Reddy has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jindal India Power Ltd (JIPL) since July 2020. With a robust educational background, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad (1991) and a Master’s degree in Power Systems from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal (1995).

Bringing over 30 years of rich experience, Mr. Reddy has been at the forefront of both conventional (coal and natural gas) and renewable (solar and wind) energy project development, from initial concept to final commissioning. His expertise spans across a broad spectrum of areas including state-of-the-art power technologies, innovative financial models for raising equity and debt, business development, fuel linkages, securing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and finalizing EPC contracts for capacities of up to 4,000 MW. Mr. Reddy has also been instrumental in obtaining key statutory clearances, managing profit and loss (P&L), overseeing contract and claims management, and leading operations and maintenance (O&M) efforts.

Before joining JIPL, Mr. Reddy held several prestigious positions. He served as the CEO of Simhapuri Energy Limited in Hyderabad, President of India Power Corporation Limited (IPCL) in Kolkata, and President of NSL Power Limited in Hyderabad. Additionally, he has worked as General Manager with KSK Energy Ventures Limited, Hyderabad, and Tata Steel BSL Limited, New Delhi. Earlier in his career, Mr. Reddy gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) Corporate R&D, Hyderabad, focusing on the development of clean technologies for Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP).

Throughout his career, Mr. Reddy has earned numerous accolades, including the “Best Leader Award” at KSK Energy Ventures Limited for completing projects in record time and the “Best Leader Award” at Tata Steel BSL Limited for the development of innovative project management systems. Mr. Sunil Kumar Aggarwal

Whole Time Director, Jindal India Power Ltd (JIPL)

Born in 1960, Mr. Sunil Kumar Aggarwal is an accomplished engineering professional with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra, which he completed with distinction in 1981. With over four decades of experience spanning various industries, Mr. Aggarwal is a seasoned expert in the power sector, particularly in the development and operational phases of large-scale projects across different states in India.

Throughout his career, Mr. Aggarwal has been closely associated with the Jindal Group and has played a pivotal role in the success of Jindal India Power Ltd (JIPL). For over a decade, he has been instrumental in the establishment of the company’s 1,200 MW Independent Power Project. His contributions have been critical in various areas, including project coordination and implementation, land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation (R&R) matters, commercial operations, and regulatory liaison.

Mr. Aggarwal’s leadership qualities and ability to make real-time, strategic decisions have been vital to JIPL’s growth. Under his dynamic guidance, the company has achieved substantial milestones in both profitability and business expansion. Mr. Sandip Goswami

Whole Time Director, Jindal India Power Ltd (JIPL)

Born in 1965, Mr. Sandip Goswami is an accomplished electrical engineer with a degree from NIT Durgapur and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance from the Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon. With more than 37 years of experience in the power industry, Mr. Goswami has built a distinguished career marked by leadership in operations, maintenance, and project management across a variety of sectors within the energy field.

Mr. Goswami began his career at NTPC, India’s largest power utility, where he spent 20 years honing his expertise. At NTPC, he contributed significantly to the operation and maintenance of the Korba Super Thermal Power Station, served as a faculty member at the prestigious Power Management Institute in Noida, and worked within the Corporate Planning division. His tenure at NTPC laid a strong foundation for his subsequent roles in the power sector.

Following his time at NTPC, Mr. Goswami joined Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), where he led operations as the Plant Head of the Dongamahua Captive Power Plant for seven years. He further expanded his experience by serving as Head of Planning at KEC International Limited, a leading EPC company specializing in power transmission infrastructure.

Prior to joining Jindal India Power Ltd (JIPL), Mr. Goswami held the position of Plant Head and Whole Time Director at Lanco Anpara Power Limited for seven years. In this role, he demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational management, driving the performance and efficiency of the plant while ensuring strategic growth.

At JIPL, Mr. Goswami continues to bring his deep knowledge and expertise to the table, playing a key role in steering the company’s operations and ensuring excellence across the board. Ms. Kaminee Girdhar

Director, Jindal India Power Ltd (JIPL)

Ms. Kaminee Girdhar is a seasoned IT professional with over two decades of extensive experience in software development, SAP HANA implementations on the cloud, and general corporate operations. She holds an MBA in Information Technology and a Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA), making her a highly qualified leader in the technology sector.

Ms. Girdhar has been associated with the Jindal Group for more than twelve years, where she has played a pivotal role in shaping the company's IT landscape. Her expertise spans IT infrastructure management, SAP migrations, cloud-based solutions, and IT security implementation and administration. With a strong background in both technical and corporate IT operations, she ensures that JIPL stays ahead of technological advancements and maintains robust IT systems to support its business goals.

Currently, Ms. Girdhar is leading key initiatives within the company, including overseeing IT operations, migrating SAP systems, and implementing cutting-edge security protocols. Her deep knowledge of IT infrastructure and her strategic approach have been instrumental in optimizing the company's digital transformation and ensuring the security and efficiency of its IT operations.

Mr. Krishan Kumar Sabharwal

Non-Executive Director (Independent), Jindal India Power Ltd (JIPL)

Mr. Krishan Kumar Sabharwal, aged 75, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Jindal India Power Ltd (JIPL) as a Non-Executive Independent Director. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.A. Com), an LL.B., and is a Fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (FCS). Additionally, he has completed postgraduate studies in Labour Law, Labour Welfare, and Personnel Management, providing him with a broad and diverse educational background.

Mr. Sabharwal has more than two decades of experience working in senior leadership roles across various industries. For the past 25 years, he has been practicing as a distinguished advocate in the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India, specializing in corporate, commercial, and labor law. Mr. Suresh Chander Sharma

Mr. Suresh Chander Sharma born in 1955, holds a Master’s Degree of Commerce and Bachelor of Law (LLB). He has more than three decades of rich and diversified experience in the field of Legal and Commercial Matters, Internal Audit etc. He also has significant experience in dealing with transportation and real estate matters. Presently, Mr. Sharma is involved in providing consultancy services.
